Super Justin (スーパージャスティン, Sūpā Jasutin) was the original prototype series of Justin De Lucia. Lasting for almost a decade, it had gone through several retools over the years. However, various issues involving the use of characters from other mediums and questionable design choices (especially in the Second Reboot) caused small controversy throughout the series' final year of existence in 2009, leading into it's closure in October 2009 and eventual replacement by Aozora's Adventure.

The main character, named after the creator of the series, went through several different appearances before his eventual "death". Today, he is used as a personal avatar by Justin, though because of the aforementioned controversies caused by the character's existence (alongside his presence as a "self-insert"), no artwork or reboots of him or the series he hailed from has been made in recent years. Certain attributes of Justin would be used to create Aozora, while other features of the scrapped OC's and "stolen" characters' altered personalities used in the series were used to make early Aozora designs like Sakaki, Zik, and Tàiyáng. Aqui and R.C. were originally created for Super Justin before being revived years later into a separate universe, while the Jetters were originally conceived as characters for Super Justin but to prevent them from being scrapped and having their designs gone to waste, they were later reincarnated into Aozora's Adventure.

The Character[]

The main and title character of Super Justin went through a total of five different appearances, all based on incarnations of the character created in character creation tools. As only one design was ever promoted online- the other designs preceding it and all artwork associated with them were restricted to local-only.

First Incarnation[]

Justin's first design was created in the original Backyard Football. in either the year 2000 or 2001. Unlike the other incarnations to follow, this one gave the character a more "realistic" aesthetic, using the slim male body style with red as a primary color and blue as a secondary, with brown hair.

Second Incarnation[]

Justin's second design was made in Backyard Football 2002 Unlike the first version, Version 2 gave Justin a huskier build and a slightly shorter head (continuing to use the "tall" head option). The color scheme (red as primary and blue as secondary) was retained, though now the character sported bright purple hair as opposed to brown.

Third Incarnation[]

KNDJustin

Super Justin's KND-themed redesign made in the Numbuh Generator.

The third illiteration of Justin was created in early 2005- breaking the trend of the past two designs by being made in the Codename: Kids Next Door flash game Numbuh Generator. Retaining the purple hair of Version 2, this version was given a green hat (as headgear was required) with a navy blue-colored superhero outfit with indigo sneakers. This version of Justin also came with an altered personality, being more heroic than his Backyard Sports predecessors. The creation of this version of Justin also led into the First Reboot, which was more focused as a KND fan-universe.

"Japanese" Incarnation[]

JapanJustin

Recreation of Japanese Justin in Balloon Duel.

In-between the third and fourth designs of Justin, Spring 2007 (likely April of that year) brought a "Japanese"-themed design that co-existed with the third design, created in Mousekliks' Flash game Balloon Duel. This design took the color palette of the third redesign but replaced the hat with a scarf and swapped out parts for a more "detailed" look. Due to the sheer complexity of the original design and Balloon Duel's character creation tools, it is difficult, if not impossible to recreate the exact original design in the game itself- as all traces of the original design (including artwork associated with it) have been lost over time, though a recreation of what this design may have looked like can be seen on the right.

Fourth Incarnation[]

It wouldn't be until early Spring 2008 (presumably in April or May) when the fourth and shortest-lasting version of Justin would be produced. This version would merge features of the third design with 2-D from the virtual band Gorillaz. Keeping the Kids Next Door-stlyed art design, this version sported larger, more circular eyes, a wider mouth, messier blue hair, a superhero suit colored a more neutral shade of blue, and the removal of the green hat and superhero cape (though the collar still remained). This would begin the second major personality shift of the character, keeping him heroic but a bit more "wild" and "insane".

Fifth Incarnation[]

FinalJustin

The latest artwork made of the final design of Super Justin, developed in October 2009.

First created around the same time as Design 4 in May 2008 but not officially launched till late Summer, this version served to replace the "Japanese" design before becoming the preferred design of Justin and overtaking Design 4 as a result, starting up the launch of the Second Reboot when was even more anime-focused than prior incarnations. Created this time in We Ski, this design was built from one of the preset avatar designs which gave long, cyan eyes and long dark blue hair with a bright cyan winter coat, black pants, and dark blue/black boots. This design was later converted into more summer-themed gear to fit the general temperature used in the Super Justin universe. This would be the incarnation of Super Justin that would become familiar with Superjustinbros's earlier years on DeviantArt, and the final version created before the series shut down in October 2009 due to the creator's desire to move onto something more original. This version's personality was a slightly toned down Design 4's, still including some of 4's insanity but not being built around it.
