Genroy (玄ロイ Genroi) is a character in the Aozora's Adventure series.

BackgroundEdit

Genroy is a self-proclaimed scientific genius who makes his residence in a science lab hidden deep within a jungle (which jungle it is located in has yet to be determined). At the lab, he continuously works day by day on various projects hoping to one day become a successful inventor despite his mental insanity and habit of chuckling loudly when things go his way.

Genroy enjoys greeting people with the phrase "Hello, chumbs!"

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Aside from his naturally high IQ, Genroy is almost never seen without his "Ooze Grappler", a metallic gauntlet that generates an endless supply of adhesive green ooze that eventually forms into a giant slimy hand with four fingers. The arm can be fired a great distance away, kept in tight by a cord of slime until it eventually returns to Genroy. If the arm lands on a surface, it molds to stay in put, serving as a makeshift grappling hook that pulls Genroy in and lets him cling to surfaces or swing across gaps. If targeting a living being or other stationary object, the arm catches and absorbs it into the large center ooze ball (the arm losing it's fingers in the process), before retracting and returning to Genroy afterwards. From there, Genroy can simply release the object or victim, toss it away with amazing force, or release the target as it soars towards Genroy- following up with a high-speed punch or uppercut with the other, non-slimed arm.

The Ooze Grappler can also be sued for defensive purposes, blocking and absorb fast-moving projectiles while also nullifying direct blows. The only downside to the Ooze Grappler is that Genroy himself cannot submerge his whole body into the slime for total protection.

TriviaEdit

  • Genroy's personality and mad scientist traits were crafted after Dr. Insano.
  • Certain attributes of Genroy's fighting style (mostly in the use of green-colored weapons that function like grappling hooks) especially later in the series' run are loosely based on Hazama from the Blazblue series.
